I thought they always showed the post number - that way you could mark down page no. and post number and go back to see, whatever post it was, again. I do that especially if I want to show someone photos.

Post number was always there...
....but the total number of posts in the thread is new as of Oct 27th.
The old platform had them.

It is something I really missed about the old platform. You had to scroll all the way to the bottom to see what page you were on and how many more pages there were.
