Post Office made me go crazy chicken lady!

Sounds like my po lady. She takes things out on the route with no intention to deliver then says notice left. She just drives around with stuff all day to take it back to the po and leave me a note there to pick it up.

I think this is exactly what happened. My normal carrier would never do it; he's awesome.

I talked to the main customer service line. I filed a formal complaint, and asked if they would keep it AT the PO so that I can pick it up first thing tomorrow morning. They said they will.

So, tomorrow morning, I will be waiting for them to unlock the door.

I had some shipped and they came in today. I got some Silkies and Blue, Black, Splash Orpingtons. I am hoping that they are okay, none were cracked, Lets all pray for the best on Everyones egg. Mine are due January 7th.

That is almost the same thing that happened to me! I stayed home since mine were coming up as "out for delivery" and found a note in my box that they had attempted delivery...WHAT!!!

I left a totally crazy chicken lady message on the machine at the PO (something to the tune of "HUGELY TIME SENSITIVE!!!!! LIVE BABIES!!!! you get the idea). They called me first thing in the morning to tell me that they had the eggs at the PO, they were marked as eggs so the PO people kept them in the office where they would stay warm overnight...the mail lady was going to deliver them to my doorstep during her lunch so they wouldn't have to be out in the cold...oh geeeeeezzzzz....talk about feeling like a dweeb...it certainly pays to live in a farming community!

I got my eggs!!!!!

I got to the post office as it opened. It took them 15 min to find my box. Even though I'd had instructions to leave it at the office, it'd been put on a truck. I got it off the truck and drove it home.

I'm not an expert, but it seems like one has a totally detached air cell (I can see the bubble is completely free floating. I can't see any kind of bubble at all in the others). But, nothing broken.

I really, really hope these guys were well cared for and hatch ok.

I hope you have a great hatch. I'm on my way to pick up eggs at the Medford processing plant. Even marked, sometimes they catch them at the plant, sometimes they call me from the PO and sometimes they get delivered. I'm only 1 mile from the PO so it probably doesn't make a huge difference.

Good luck with your eggs.
