jolyn glad you like the coop...my chickens seem to love it!!!

herbs...so far we haven't had any problems with having to close it in for warmth...last year we had a hoop house with a tarp over the top for rain but chickens seemed to weather the winter fine... i guess i could tack plastic poly to cover all the open area...being on the coast the temps really don't get that bad as they do inland...virginia

beautiful coop, I was just curious how you control climbing predators like racoons and weasels?Is the part above the door closed in?

tiffany...the space above the door is not enclosed but we have not had any problems with predators...it may be because of the dogs...i've also found the geese a deer deterrent in our garden...they are so loud and noisy at the approach of any moving thing...virginia
