Really? I asked the lady Igot them from and she said she had Muscovy and Pekin. I wanted Muscovy because I adore their ugliness- the red bumpy bills are so adorable. And she said they were Muscovy. -.- I'm deffinetly going to complain about this.

Nah, i think they are they have hook on the end of the bill.

I have two female Muscovy and one male African goose. Thought I'd try with waterfowl since we have a huge pond. I've always had chickens and have hatched chicks. The gosling is the sweetest thing (other than the occasional mood swings and he bites me) but the ducklings are very frisky and hard to tame. I'm not sure how old they are but they are still quite small and haven't feathered out yet. Any ideas on taming them before they get too big?

Food! peas, romaine lettuce and so forth.. trust me won't take long before they bombard you for it. I have two Preemie scovies in my house, from my last hatch... they are pretty tame. They;ll eat out of my hand.

I enlarged their pics and saw the little hook on their beaks too.
My muscovies are all tame and if I leave my back door open they all end up in the house ! I can pick them all up easily. None of mine seem to like peas so I give them cat biscuits as treats and they love them. It is just an ongoing thing, Scovies do get quite tame if you keep with it, have they wagged their tails at you yet?

My muscovies are all tame and if I leave my back door open they all end up in the house ! I can pick them all up easily. They all have massive personalities, mine would attack you for peas! My house raised ones are tame, my farm ones.. nah, not so much but that's okay.. they are here to do a job and they are a large flock, small numbers are way easier to keep in your pocket.

Not yet, they are so frisky! And should u give them just canned peas or frozen ones... Or straight from the pod? My male African gosling has a bond with me. He follows me around where ever I go... And cries when he's back in the coop or run. I took them to the pond in thebackyard for the first time. I usually let them swim in the jacuzzi. It fosnt work anymore so I filled it up with water. The ducklings just swam away when I put them in the pond! I had to walk throughall of the mud and chase after them while the gosling followed me aroung. The ducklings are a handful!

They won't hold still long enough for me to show them the food!

I buy the frozen peas and then just thaw a handful and divide that among my 3 ducks. And peas don't take long at all to thaw either! I even threw some in their pool right when I cleaned it out and they ate them out of the pool!

Pool Time!

I clean & refill their water everyday and that barely is good enough! The pen is a little messy but i already picked up the extra feeders and stuff from when they were babies so now their pen is much nicer and they have a bigger place! (I took these pics like a week ago)
