i am sorry, i am having a little trobble with posting pics of my chickens nesting boxes, but i whould like to see some pics of every one elses nest boxes

Here are our nest boxes before we added the chickens. They seem to like them...whew! I was afraid they were going to be too small. (I read somewhere that nest boxes should be 14"X14"X14" and ours are only 12"X12"X12") They just started laying eggs and are always using the two farthest from the coop door....no one has used the right side one yet. Of course, out of 11 chickens, we only have 3 laying so far. Once they all start to lay, they may use all the nest boxes.

Here is Rosemary (so far, one of the 3 out of 11 of mine that are laying...a 19 wk old Golden Comet pullet) checking out a marble nest egg that I put in to give my EE's the idea what color eggs to lay

We use shavings and grass clippings as bedding in the nest boxes.
