Bella's mother has got to be the most useless hen on eggs that I have ever had! Her first time was in June 2012. She sat on 10, 2 hatched, she got off the nest leaving the other 5 with fully grown chicks in to freeze. Second time was in April this year, I give her 7 eggs and if they fell out from under her, she didn't bother putting them back in. 1 egg wasn't fertile, 5 died on the first week (in the eggs obvcourse) and she left one out of her on day 20 and it died and was the only one that made it to the end! So I had to buy her day olds. She is done with them and back on the eggs, so I got her and her sister some Light Sussex eggs, 2 each. She has a huge nest and has managed to break one of them and she only had 2 eggs! The other was filthy, so I give it to her sister and swapped a clean one to her. If she screws this one up she isn't getting anymore. She's a great mother, just does my head in when she is on the eggs!

Don't think Bella deserves a treat today. She has figured out my method of catching her for her medicine. It took me ages to catch her, I got so angry!
