Johnn---adorable chick...CONGRATS!!!

I have a question, if I may.

On the day I subscribed to your thread, I was saddened to see the news and the photos of a burned barn, and many poor chickens killed during the fire. From time to time I think about it, still feel sad for the animals, and wonder if things are fine with the farm owners. Does anyone know how they are doing, were any of the chickens able to get away and turned up later, and if they ever found out the guilty person who caused the fire and the horrific death of the innocent animals? I wonder if the eggs which were spared hatched so they could at least recover some of their birds' progeny?

I don't feel too bad about the property loss for it can be rebuilt; but, can not forgive anyone who lacks compassion towards the helpless sentient beings.

Not many birds lost in the fire I'm thinking about. Most of it was stored junk. The person owning those birds was misrepresenting them as English imports too, and using other breeders' photos to peddle chicks. The whole thing was very suspicious.

John those pictures of that mommy loving her baby are just priceless..her flyaway feathers make it even more special..
Thanks! :) She is a excellent mother! She is great on the eggs and a great mother! Bella's mother is crap on the eggs but is a great mother. Daisy might end up taking the best broody title from her! But Bella seems like she would be a good mother so if she goes broody next year she might be the best. I will probably have to let Bella hatch more Buffs though!
