what color/breed is the 3rd rooster down?

He is a LF Blue Laced Orpington that is bleached out golden from being in the sun all summer. lol.

Ok BO are suppose to be sweet, one of my girls is MEAN! She pecks me HARD. And this morning she totally peaked and jumped at me even broke my skin. This is the second time for a total attack and she always try's pecking me hard. I have never had such a mean hen. I have had it with her I'm getting rid of her. I do clock her one I picked her up once but I worry she will go after my face. She's a very big girl as you all know they get big. I don't want to deal with it anymore she's going away. Anyway on a happy note one of the Buff sisters laid their first egg yesterday! It was really small lol.

Wow, I have never heard of an Orp doing that! I can see it if she were going broody, but geez! A power peck huh? Yeah, I don't blame you for culling her, it is too bad though.

I love first eggs! It is like Christmas! Congrats!

Getting rid of her is the best thing to do. In a different home, she may not be as mean. Anyway life's too short to have to worry about a crazy chicken.

Thanks guys I good to hear its what you guys would do to. The friend that I'm going ask if she wants her has a lot of property they free range on and I can't here due to so many foxes. I don't think she will worry about pecking anybody with all those bugs to find.

I took a chicken like that, a beautiful blue Wyandotte.........She was a terrible bully in her last home. After about three months and being shunned by the other hens
and me when she misbehaved, she changed her ways and is a real sweetheart now.............The change in address might be good for her.=)

Hi finally I can join I have wanted a buff orp for ages but no one ever had one
I have other chickens light Sussex's and a common brown hen but now I have a buff orp yay

She is called jazzabelle, jazzie for short and is still shy does anyone have any tips to get her tame or tamer.
