Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Only having had my BOs for 3 mo I didn't realize we could pre treat vs only treating when found. With the cold weather is the permetherin the best option? I'm worried now that I didn't pretreat thinking it was too cold for these nasty bugs

By all means treat now , with Permethrin dust. If the temperatures moderate in 10 days , re-treat with permethrin liquid, and spray your coops too.The bugs look for a warm body when it is cold.

I have got Bella eating from my hand now! I don't let her mother anymore because she seems to have got into her head that instead of take the food from my hand she has to grab my hand, and pull it towards her so the food falls off!

Bella is so annoying now she eats out of my hand. She's always walking around trying to peck my hand where ever I go now

Johnn, LOVE it! I've got one like that…not an Orp though.

We are surviving the record breaking cold these last few days here in Pennsylvania. It was 1 degree (Fahrenheit) here this morning, with wind chills far below that brrrrr! Although all my feathered friends seem fine.

Are you in one of those really cold places? Hope you and your girls stay safe and warm!
