Thank you for sharing all the beautiful orpington photos... I love fluffybutts.

Tori I think you have them picked right. The only ones I am in question about is the last picture. could be two cockerels. You may have to wait a few more weeks on that one.

I hope so! Thank you. 3 split lav, 2 lav, and last week I thought they were ALL boys...

At least one split-lav girl would save 6 months on the wait for more babies.

I have two blacks right now that i have thought all along were two pullets. They are about 3 months old and i am still quessing. I can't quite tell yet. They are large and broad and sometimes I think they stand like cockerels but I don't see any pointy saddle feathers but I have had late developers before

It is held at the fairgrounds there. As soon as they get the info posted in Poultry Press it will be listed on the United Orpington Club Website and problably someone will list it here.. It is a good way to meet breeders and get some good points and even buy birds. I may take some to sell when I go if I have room. Your probably about 4 hrs from Lake City then huh?

Oh my goodness, I have so many pages to catch up on!

I can tell my girls apart when I look at them in person, but in pictures I have a really hard time telling them apart. I do not have them banded or marked yet, but will get to it soon.

They are incredibly friendly birds, will crawl into my lap when I sit down, walk between my legs or stand right behind me – which makes it a challenge to get a good picture.

Even as chicks, they exude calm and peace. When they run, they look like linebackers and I am shocked the ground does not shake yet. They are fast friends with the SL Cochins and if I separate them, each group cries for the other – they all sleep in a pile and sometimes even during the day you can find a cochin sleeping on top of one of the Bama girls (why I have no idea – we are in the mid 90’s
