Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

By the way .... those buffs pictured all belong to Doug Akers. He won reserve with his boy. Dianne Weer (WONDERFUL woman) won the big one again, with her gorgeous white rock. The 3 of us had a most wonderful time visiting.

Doug is a stand up dude. I would do about anything for him. His Buffs is what gave me my start. Dianne's White Rock is hatched from a trio of from Jeff Halbach I believe. And is one of the best I ever seen.

800 entries 162 exhibitors. ALOT of juniors (which is terrific for our future!), less than 100 large fowl. Alot of water fowl.

Ooops ..... not 162 exhibitors ..... just 62 exhibitiors. 147 Junior entries

Kathy im sad that I didnt make it there.

Bill i live about 15 mins from Diane do you think that it would be a good idea for me to get some of her stock? The worst part of her being so close to me is that I have to show against her relatives and club members in 4-H.

It is nice to go see in person what wins shows. I know I expect to get my clock cleaned by Doug's Buffs next weekend. And it is worth it to see what you need to improve on to be more competative next year. Which is why I pay the $3 per bird. Diane's said she had a few more like him. I gave her my number. I doubt she will remember me and prolly thought I was being nice and friendly. Bob mentioned maybe getting me some of his White Rock eggs next spring. I will wait for quality. And I seen what Bob has. His birds have great tails and would be great for my cockerel.
Glad to hear you really enjoyed yourself. Now I am sure this won't be your only show. Get a few of your best and enter them and have some fun!
