the APA does not recognize any breed in the splash color... some thing about them being to variable in color... the ABA does tho so idk y the APA dont...

The admittance to the ABA was really easy and simple for awhile from my understanding so alot of sub par breeds/ varieties slipped in.

what about the splash? I'm told splash is not a recognized color, however any one who has a blue cockerel and blue pullet can come out with splashes?

I could have sworn that they recognized silikes in splash... I know a silkie barley counts when i comes to patterning, but at the same time, it still counts. I've often wondered why splash isn't recognized in any of the varieties that blue and black are. Blue is my favorite color! I'd keep everything in it if i could, i do hat that splash isn't accepted though, and have often wondered why people with show line blues haven't made a case for it.

Cool story and pictures! I love how you add pics to a lot of your posts

I wish my camera was working and I could post some pics of my Orpy's

I had a camera my dad gave me 3 years ago. I just waited for my Kodak to croak. And I like to take pics as my birds grow. Helps me see the differences in lines I have, and MAY help others too.
