Sandy ya at that stage they can make or break a good pic.. im glad ours are feathered up nice with these cold nights bearing in, that chillyness sure helps them feather up a bit faster..plus its nice to get some sun on them, helps keep the combs a bit smaller.. love the big windows in that brooder coop..

Beth im sure if you were closer i could get her to come and take pic's..she's 14 but still into photography of any kind big time..

Right before he started to molt... he's got feathers EVERYWHERE now, and he looks so pathetic! My girls still adore him, though!

happyhens120 i feel for duke, he's sweet though, cause we all know how it goes.. all of our adults are dropping feathers like crazy to.. starting to look like hedge hog haven here..

Have you ever forced a molt on them and then bounced them back with the high protein? I ask b/c I have a friend that tries to convince me every year to do this, to speed things up but, it requires pulling up water and food for a couple of days which kinda bothers me so I have not done it
