Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Just remember that to protect our poultry industry, the Fancy and backyard chickens, always follow all the USDA regulations for the importation of poultry. The instructions on importation are at https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/479870/importation-of-hatching-eggs-usda

I don't think I like what you're implying, but whatever.

It's clear that neither aveca nor I were talking about acquiring eggs from the UK, rather we were simply wishing for more of their lovely giant birds to be on our side of the pond.

I know. I cant believe how good his/her feathers are. But i kind fo thing thats a good sign because my cuckoo maran chick who i know 100% is a boy, had loads of bald patched because hes been putting all his nutrition into growing instead of feathers...

I have a White Orp cockerel do that. I worried he was gettin picked on in a cage with others. So I pulled him out and had him in with smaller younger birds to grow. He looked like a featherless orp for a few weeks. Now you would never know he was bald.
Here is was just a few weeks after he got separated into his Rabbit cage

How old is he??

How old is he??

I guessing around 6 weeks old. Just a guess. I am real bad about keeping track of the exact day when these birds hatch. I know about the month is all. OR when the first wave of hatches occur I know when they hatch. But, I hatch every single egg from my standard Orps. And am just guessin he is near 6 weeks.

This season I have only about 2 dozen Whites hatched out from my trio and 2 dozen Buffs hatched out from my duo of Buffs.
However I did get some White Orp eggs from Gayle in trade. She was able to hatch out a very nice White Orp pullet to use and I hatched out 5 outta 10 White Orp eggs she sent me.
And the one who will have a couple of my better pullets to use is Snowball.
He is from Gayle's line. And this pic can give you an idea of what Snowball can offer. He is an early May hatch.
I took this pic for you to gauge how tall Snowball is. I think what my line of Whites has to offer will go well with what Snowball has to offer
My LiL Snowball

I also did go over to the very best Buff breeder's farm in INDIANA and he gave me 9 eggs. 4 hatched out. 3 boys and one girl. A mid late May early June hatch.
Lookin forward to seeing how these grow out. So far so good.

Here are just a few of many more Blacks. I am using 7 hens with two males in two separate pens.

The "genetic recipe" for true Crele actually is Partridge X Cuckoo...

Buff X Cuckoo does not make a true breeding Crele bird but rather a Barred Buff bird that mimics the way Crele appears. These Barred Buff birds will not breed true generation after generation.

Thanks for the info.
The Cuckoo x partridge boy looks nothing like a crele yet. How would I get him looking like those birds? Cross him back to a partridge?
