Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Absolutly stunning birds..Thanks for sharing..I wish we could trade across the pond but no longer possible we are like an island now...it can be done but you need deep pockets and lots of patience...that is the problem...its little like brits trying to breed buckeyes the best will probably always be here... your orps are Fantastic birds and top of the breed game...

I do have to give credit to people like bama chickens, chalie and some of the other good breeders in here, I think bama has almost taken it to that level and added a little longer elegant neck to the bird which I like and managed to keep the shorter back and tails...they are like an art peice to me.. A pleasure to look at.

Your australorps are far superior to ours, we have birds that a long long time ago somone had the bright idea to add more leghorn and a pinch of rhode island red to up egg production even more ..you occasionally see a single red feather in a neck , huge tails, wrong color eye, looong backs, ect...
Im trying hard to correct some of this with very good quality black orps..we'll see. If nothing else I am determined to make this breed up o or close to your standard. I wisg you could post some more or your orps and australorps..we had a thread going but there was a whopping 6 of us I think, we run out of things to say.

Can't beat the Bantams. Thanks for posting your Orps. I to am a fan of the English type. They are awesome.

Hi guys
frow.gif
I am new to this thread. I usually hang over at the RIR and Delaware threads. But recently my husband has gotten into BBS Orps. We have a pair that is 7 months old and so I wanted to post picks of them to get your opinions. Any and all critiques are welcome as we are just starting to learn about Orps and how they should look

I think my blue roo is too brown. What are your thoughts?
I also have 20 babies in the brooder or baby section of my coop, but they are at the ugly duckling stage inbetween feathers and fluff. I will take picks of them when they are fully feathered to get imput on them.
So here is Ricky and Lucy, my BBS Orps:

Popcornpuppy his eye color is wrong. He should have brown eyes and they look gold. Not a bad looking boy but depends on your plans for the flock. also it would be good to see a side veiw for better look at his tail and legs.
