Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Thanks guys!

@Jeremy, Blue (real name Albert) is from Joy. He has turned into the perfect roo. Last winter I had to take him out of the pen to give the girls a break because he was a little rough. This year I'll be able to leave him since he's mellowed out.

@aina, I'm really enjoying my blue girls. I had all black until last year. I still have a lot of work to do on their lacing. Julie's tried to advise me, but I'm just not there, yet.

@Renie, I love the blacks' feathers. They've finally gotten used to the fact that I can't keep from running my hands down their backs when I'm doing my head count at night. They used to yell at me, now they just suffer quietly. If chickens could roll their eyes I know they'd be doing it!

I'm going to try to do more selective breeding this spring. I got hit with ILT a couple of months ago, so I'm out of the hatching eggs / chick business. Everything I hatch from now on will be just for me.

 I think she's turning left!!!

 I think she's turning left!!!

What's up with those toes?

This must mean cull her, right?
hahahaha
LOL! No, but they sure look twisted. And no, she wasn't turning left with one toe heading south and the other heading north. Could be an incubator problem. Might breed well. Just not a show prospect. My Opinion. And I often get jumped on for my opinion. Just see the threads locked I've participated in lately! LOL!!
