I hope I can get started hatching early for the Knoxville show next fall, also hope that I can get a display together of each of the varieties of bantams

There are no shows for LF Orps nearby. I used to show at about 15 shows a year with bantams where all the competition is down here.If we can make it to Knoxville in December from here, we will. Already have reservations. It's a 6 hour drive, but worth it if good Orps show up.I should go to Knoxville, my parents live about 45 mins away. I usually go to my close to home shows. Ohio Natls is the farthest I will travel. Even Lucasville is too much driving for me. These multiple day shows require me to drive there then drive home at the end of the day then come back the next day. I will have too many young birds to take care for. 23 out door pens of adults and a dozen or more indoor cages for the little ones. See I hatch ALL my eggs from my best birds. That is why my feed bill will go from the usual one 50 lbs bag a day up to two bags a day by the time of that show. I do not sell chicks or juvie birds to make a buck. When I do sell it is after I have decided they need to be culled. Then I am very fair to the local Indiana folks. I just sold 10 pullets from last year yesterday for $120, mostly Blacks and Blues. A few Australorps too.
BUT, Doug will go. I can bribe him to take a bird or two and enter them for me. Never asked him to do that, but he is a good man. I am sure he would do it as a favor.
I go to the Greensville OH show, the Indiana State Fair Poultry Show, Connorsville Show, Doug's Boone County 4-H Show, and depending when they have it the Columbus IN Show. I am good for 4 to 5 shows a year.
How many shows do you go and enter Orps in?
