Just been up to my hens, the mother orpington has been attacked by a stoat

I think shes ok, i couldnt really see because it was dark and the chicks were being all protective perching around her and shes lieng in the box. Shes alive, thats the main think, hope shes not in too much shock. She put uo a good fight getting her self from the field to the shed, i think she would have stood up to it when it came in the shed because she pecks me if i put my hand in when shed in there. Also i think Asparagus and Bella would have helped her because they are really protective over her. The stoat is soo stupid, why choose the biggest strongest hen to try take down?!

Thank God you went up to check John..or you would have lost her..those weasles like the big plump birds and no problem for them to kill a big bird..try to find entry holes..fix them up..its not easy but you dont want to loose those fantastic hens..and get a nice buff rooster to go with them..they are kind of nice to cross breed..we sure admire them..make some more buffs to admire..

Luckily mama orp is ok!, but the stoat came back when i was there this morning!!
