chicklet...
i like some of your birds very very much..you have some great stuff to work with!!
They are defnatly fed well..butter balls!! Get a table and get in a habit of picking them up and putting them on a table and giving a treat..take them off the table
One of the males I like with the fuller chest..I think it is a male..the pictures make it hard to tell
When it gets nicer. sunny day..no breeze .set that table outside again..have someone out with you with a camera..head shots..front shots..rear shots..each side
I would take your birds...![]()
Okay we had a break in the rain today so I attempted to get some pics. Please keep in mind the camera is old & the photographer is horrible. The 3 older pullets are less than a year old: the black is oldest almost a year,
This is Petti. I think her coloring is off an may have chocolate in it?
This one has better coloring & bigger head. This is Crisco.
The black: BB. I like her but this is old pics from the summer
Youngest blue pullet: Bebe. I like her too.
Bebe's hatchmate, Boris, the one who had a limp, He is better now.
These are the three cockerels I have coming up. Sorry but they are at the age where they think I am going to kill them if I go near them and are terrified since they have not free ranged much. The black is hiding in first pic and you can kind of see the black one in the second pic. The blue pullet is older by 3-4 weeks than the cockerels, her pics are above also.
Well these are my Orps. They are not the best, not the worst and I am happy to have them. This is the foundation I have to breed from. They consist of 3 possibly 4 bloodlines. I had a very rough start trying to get quality Orps and if not for a few nice people I would have given up on the breed. I may never show but I will try to make something with what I have. I plan on extending the same kindness to others that some in the Orp community have shown to me.
Wecome Littlechicklet ! Those are very nice Orps to start with !
Not Boris
Your pictures are hard to tell. Boris needs more time. How old is he?
VIVI- those are very nice. I especially like the last pic of the baby one.![]()
littlechicklet, do you live close to Newport?I am guessing between 22-24 weeks? The last pic of the trio of cockerels are the youngest I think they are around 18 weeks but would have to check.
@thedragonlady- Thank you. I have been on here for a while just haven't posted much. You have always made me feel welcome.![]()
