I was just glad to see them get outside for a while, they have been "cooped up" in the weather..
The cockeral is so round he looks like a cartoon...

URGENT! 6 free BBS Orpington large fowl eggs in Carnegie PA. Somehow I mislabeled a two boxes. Sent a flute to California and eggs to PA. These are free, but needs to be picked up today. PM me your phone number and when i get back online later i will call you.

I guarentee, I will never mislabel anything, nor label anything when children are present!

I have no idea where to start learning about color genetics....I've tried a couple of the genetic calculators but I can't find one that allows for Buff as a color.

I've got my Splash Orp rooster over my buff orpingtons and I'm just curious what color the offspring are going to be?
My sister tried some calculators and the first one said they'd all be blue, the second said they'd all be red and the third said they'd all be copper marans....

Any advice or guidance...do they make color genetics for dummies or something?

Very pretty
Pretty birds Blarneyeggs, I really like her boyfreind...and I LOVE that hens face..

after a week of 50 degree weather everybody outside in the big pens today..what a releif it must be for them. especially the babies out back..running everywhere.

I cant wait till spring..Somehow Boo positions himself just under one of the other birds at night..he has 10 roost bars to himself but he manages to get right under the others..got pooped upon..I cant wait to wash that off..bluk!

As I am still a newbie I learn from my own breeding program. one of which was the breeding of a total outcross mixx BUSTOFF. Deep within BUSTOFF's genes lay the "RUMPLESS". And BANTAM. And ROSECOMB. And the DUN gene. And on and on and on. The other day I traded my Bantam RUMPLESS Black Orp pullet to Lee. He took this pic.

Another fun genetic trait that lay burried within my Buff Orp line is the UK BUFF ORP GENE.
