Slowly working in the right direction with my Blacks. The first big improvement with the BUSTOFF line is the tails are much better.





Harold is part BUSTOFF line, and his kid Yosemite the cockerel in this pen may give the size boost I am hoping for the future.


Size is no problem here. I have one Blue pen, and this son of Harold, may even get a crack at that hen in the top pic.


As wide in the front as he is in the back.
UK gene came from both Harold (my Buff line which has UK Buff blood) and this boy mother which is a (Bama blood)



Harold too was very litely colored with his Brown/Red gene. as his Blue son is now.
No reason to not give Harold one more season. MAYBE this time I may actually give him a good quality hen to breed.

I swear Bill... when I saw Harold's picture just now... I thought... man.. should have named me El Torro..... Reminds me of one of them bull fighters... waving a red blanket... lol

You should have seen Frank, Harold's Brown/Red brother. I shown Frank here at Crossroads. Prolly the best Orp I shown. He was an 11+ pounder.
 
After looking at the other hens combs it turns othe mother orpington was fighting with her sister, anyways heres some snow pics:

Haha, thanks :), the rest of the hens were inside all miserable and they were the only ones who dared to go out!!
