Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

My little wide load, Bella
It's sad to say that she's the only relatively decent looking bird I've got coming along

I wasted a ton of money on nothing.

I know what you mean, LOL might as well go down the road and throw money out the window, So why do I do it year after year? lol In the last year I had 6 or 7 different breeds 70 to 80 chicks or grown birds. I keep coming back to the Orps., this year I will only be hatching off from a Black Orp. Roo with a splash, black, blue Orp. hens. These are the only 4 I will keep!!! The others were either sold or culled.

I was wondering, should i be concerned aout Bella? Because her mother is in her second year and she is laying at the same amount of eggs as Bella and Bella is on 33/34 weeks old. They both lay every otherday but shouldnt Bella be laying more than her mother??

Bella just started laying Johnn. Give her time. She'll start giving you an egg a day as soon as the weather breaks.

So this is the cockerel that pecks my pants and hands to get my attention. He has now started running across the yard when he sees me at the window. The other day he figured out he could jump up on the window ledge to get a better look at me. sorry for the dirty window glare.

He is 5 months old.
