WoW you bathe your birds? Never heard of anyone doing that? It was talk like that, when I got a call from one of our Officers in our Orp CLUB who read one of your friends sayin that. And she wonders why she will not get any birds from this UOC member. See we do talk outside this forum. I talked to Don, and VIVI. The issue of comb talk came up. Seems like you have talked to a lady out on the West coast about her APA 1/2 Farthing 1/2 Clevenger line Orps. VIVI told me about your friend asking her for some too.

Just checked my email from Alan Ammarell, this is what he says he uses for his birds. Now he is no DRAGONLADY when it comes to conditioning. He and Larry Lee are the best conditioners I know.

Alan is in PA. I did not ask where he got his feed from. He may have it made for him. I know our UOC Sec said she gets hers custom made by a farmer out in Washington for her birds. And she says it is about $4 per 50 lbs cheaper the TSC prices.

I am not sure about NC but the TSC here can special order Purina breeder feed (I think 40# bags). I don't think its cheap though.

I am rite there with ya. I know my friend Doug goes to these CO OPs for feed. Out in the country you can get more variety in feed. I live inside Indy. 10 mins from the downtown circle. I would pay prolly the diff in gas. TSC does have a policy if you buy more then 20 bags of any kind of feed you get 10% discount. That can be bird feed and dog feed or any combo of the sorts. I do that to save about $15 for 20 bags.

I'll just let the condition of my birds do all the talking necessary. Your gossip vine doesn't seem to get it's stories straight. For the moment, I have all the gene pool I really need.

P.S. I just got a call from VIVI, she is forwarding me the email from your friend about the story you say I did not get strait. Don is only the "Prez" of the UOC, are you a member?
