Aww, thanks! and thank you for everyones birthday wished to Bella! She just about took my hand off last night when I put my hand in the nest box, it really hurt!

I thought that looked like a battery hen in the pic John..those poor things, its so nice that they get a second chance at life in UK..nice of you to do that for them..in america they dont get a chance at anything , its a shame..

Yes, it is very sad. I would gladly take in a few girls. There was a post in the BST section, but I never heard back from the person :/

I have heard of people on here rescuing in America, its just a lot harder to get your hands on them. I have rescued over 50 so far

So true nuttychick..its the least that can be done for them..here saadly they usually go from making your egg mcmuffin to the grinder and dog food...

Anyone who wans to rescue them should just ring the farmers and ask when they are going and then ask if they could pick some up hen they are ready to go. That's what I usually do but this time I got them from a rescue as the place I usually get them from shut down...
