I was quite insulted, I know they are a bit saggy but still! It's almost as bad as the person who called Bella's mother fat! Oh well, adleast it proves they are fed well!

Thanks!, I love them. Especially Bella's auntie at the minute as she is nearly 3 and is laying daily and is also giving the new girls a break and not attacking them for no reason unlike the other girls, especially Bella!

john, i know , you just cant win..that just because they dont have anything better to do than be insulting..think to yourself what a shallow horrid person that is and that they are only making themselves look bad not you..their showing their behind to everyone...there is uzually a petty jelousy thing there just under the surface..orpingtons are supposed to be big robust birds..thuey are meat and egg birds..not those scrawny things that you could probably use for a toothpic..i have australorp hens that are not skinny still running around over 12 years old..they look more like 4 all bright ,shiney and pleasingly plump.probably because they live outside running around not in cramped quarters..they build muscle and bone that way..when they rest the muscle expands PT 101..maybe they can go tell prince charles his buffs are too fat..and sloppy wattles

Your birds are very pretty, and are loved and cared for wonderfully. Don't show any recognition to words which are less than pleasant; they are not worthy! More often than not, when they are hurtful, they are actually talking about themselves and not you...

Haha, they are both great anyways! I would rather they were nice big girls then skinny and small! They could have just said "large" instead of "fat"!

Or pleasingly plump...LOL..we shop at the hefty hideaway.....bought a little chin bag to hold up our saggys...

they are designed to be meat birds..dress a christmas dinner table so the genetic engeneering is to put on meat .thats the way they were made..,....they draw much out of a little feed...the difference is they are much longer lived than the commercial meat birds..if you go on some of the other threads there is a lot of talk like , my boy is 15 lbs.. or that one must be 18 lbs..thats not feather and bone they are talking about John..your hens look superb..
