I got all my originals from MPC and everyone keeps asking me where I got them. My understanding is that they order from hatcheries. Everytime I show pics someone asks where I got them because they're beautiful and when they find out, they tell me that they aren't True Orpingtons.2 hens. MPC BTW

Don't let purist folks on BYC bully you! My orps act just like true orps are supposed to act, lay eggs every day or 3, are huge and incredibly friendly, light brown eggs, 2/5 went broody, and they sure look like orps! They might not be show quality, but then most of the chickens in the world aren't.
When they molted, they didn't do a complete molt, so any speckling is age. Poor mister lost the tips of his comb during this last unseasonal winter. Those are EEs mixed in with them.
Enjoy them!!!
Bella is wearing her black socks again I see, due to all the mud ! How are her feet ?Bella

These pics were last week, but its sunny now and you should see how lovely and clean they are (for once)! Her feet aren't much different. One has healed and the other is the same. Vets said it might not look better again, so I don't know. She's laying daily, still likes to have a good scrap, is eating loads and is always out free ranging so she can't be in painBella is wearing her black socks again I see, due to all the mud ! P.S. We complained to school and they were like "We lost out old ones (they were the orps) to a polecat. It was really sad and they were very well cared for"!! I was the one caring for them! I am not looking after their new ones on holiday and weekends now and they have got rid of the cockerel which seemed to be the route of all the problems. They literelly got rid of him immediately as my friend made up that 3000 people on The Poultry Pages (its a Facebook group) wanted to report them!
