Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Big John is beautiful! And the size of those hens is just amazing, Julie. Awesome birds, as usual.

Great Bill, I would love to see them.
I am looking forward to hatching chicks off of Big John and Tubby. I really like the tail on the other younger black too

Looks like you have some good size blacks there. That is great.

Clayton is a March hatch & my number two Black boy for now, these are the 2nd tier Blacks. You know how that goes. I have a little boy, who is not so little for his age. 3 month ole crowing and thinkin he is tuff. Can't wait to see how he turns out. For now till further notice Clayton has a home.

All are so beautiful!!!! Im in Ca, I would like to purchase some hatching eggs in the Spring. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO HAS SOME GREAT BUFFS IN CA OR SURROUNDING STATES?

People I know, you will have to go to a show and approach to get chicks or eggs. Usually the best way is to buy half way grown out birds. Breeders do not sell their worse, IF their exhibition breeders. With eggs, you get everything from potential Show Quality to production quality or worse.
The better BUFF Orp breeders out west that I know are Heather Vermazen, Eileen McCallum, Clarence Cannon for starts. Most ALL of them you have to find them at a show and HOPE they have a bird or two for sale. Good luck.

I have 2 Black Wyanndots who keep sneakin thru the fence. Four pullets are from our friend. One from my local friend. She is the smaller Black Orp hen. It is really nasty here. The kids didn't try to make it easy to get a group pic. I'll try to get one or two more later. After feeding time they settle down.
