Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

I love those curious ones that come up to you. Wish I could spend more time with them. I imagine you have to when you are going to show them, right? I know nothing about showing, but would love to learn more. Your conditioning pens sound like a great idea.

This big red boy is Roosevelt. He is 11 weeks old and you can see that he is as tall or taller than the grown Orp hens already. I have him in BSA for rehoming (free).

His sire is my big blue Seude and his mom is my RIR/Buff Orp cross, Meg. So he's 1/2 Blue Orp, 1/4 Buff Orp and 1/4 RIR.
If he grows into his legs, he'll be massive. In the second pic, that is his real mother in the pen to the left, the red girl laying down. The Orp hen who raised him is beside him.

Thanks Joy. I have six month old I was looking at a little bit ago before I was sweating so that I had to go in out of the Nats. She is very large and beautiful. Dark lacing like Clementine. I will get a picture tomorrow if I can stand to stay out in the heat. Thank goodness only six more weeks of this heat. Who knew we would be ready so soon for cooler weather after that cold Winter we just had. I have a beautiful blue pullet that I know is Lizzies little chick. She looks just like her. Can't wait till she get a little bigger. She is still on wire right now. Out of the oldest blue pullets I have two for sure I am keeping. I have sold a few already and have one 5 month old left. I need to let her grow a little more and see. Lots of young ones coming off.
