And he liked what he felt. We both agreed I took the better breeder but not better Show bird for my Black cockerel entry. The Blue he liked. He would want more meat down under his chest. But these are young birds. And his comb shows me he is still growing. I am taking him to Connorsville.
And you have to remember the important thing is to share your enthusiasm for the hobby and make connections to better your knowledge and quality. I learned not to feed my birds till their judged this weekend. Priceless little tid bits that makes sense if you think about it. you don't want a judge to walk up and see your birds butt stickin up at them. So there is so much to learn still. And i add a little to what i know at each show. makes me want to enter in more.
