Our chicks are 7 weeks old and we've got two Buff Orps (think one may be a cockerel and one a pullet, but still not sure yet...)

They are both so sweet and docile!

Hi! I don't have any Orps (yet) and I was wondering, are the roos mean? I know roos are protective of their girls but does anybody have any REALLY mean Orp roos?

BTW the pics of these Orps are beautiful!

Reereechickens-Mine aren't. My big Blue boy (pic in another post above) is actually a big wuss. One of my Silkie roosters picks on him and looks for me to run to so I can pick him up and "rescue" him.

The black one I'm keeping is also pretty friendly and very curious.
