Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Is that the good white Orp P. I liked in the far left rear?

Hard to tell from this pic. I need to weed them out and put them into 4' by 4' conditioning pens here in the next few days. I will be showing two of them at Central Indiana Poultry Show here on Oct 20th. Don't expect to do too well with them. their all just hitting 7 months old. And really need some more time to finish out nice.

Hopefully you'll fish that poor Brown Red out of there before it gets too cold. She's paid her dues.

hahaha Yeah it is getting cold here tonite. Into the upper 30's. She lays the smallest eggs too. Real easy to pic out which are hers. She is not the Brown Red the cock in the pen with them is. He has already proven he can do the job. I put him into this pen with a Blue hen who was not being bred by her brother. And Harold the Brown Red did the job. I have only hatched a couple from this pen. And the Blue hen's baby girl is going to be like mom.

I took this 2 weeks ago, Aragorn is already filled out more in the feathers. I need to get some updated ones.

Thats one way to get the hens to stay still for a picture lol

I concur- girl, I've had 33 recent to practice on.

Ok si I have chiks hatching one that hatched late last night still isn't walking, it is stuck on it chest and the legs tend to just want to go out and behind it... almost like they are dislocated. Does this sometimes happen and the chick walk a little later than normal? The on foot curls up like a club foot but I can straighten it out, and it moves its toes just fine. Any one?

How many times do
I have to tell you? That is a gorgeous little GIRL?
i feed his/her mother and father at a local school because they dont feed tem, there is 6 hens running with a cockerel and after looking at the hens yesterday i think i know who the mother is!, the chick looks like her and that hen is my favouraite one there...

That is a spraddle legged chick. Sometimes you can use masking tape to keep the legs from splaying out. That will help them get up, but not always. I think you need to check on your feed. Try adding some Calf Manna to the hens' ration. Just a 1/2 cup a day for 4 hens.
