the pen is terrible today, everyone was fed in the shed apart from the lower ranking ones who were sharing the outside feeder, under the shed its is about 5 or 6 cm high with water and for some reason the orpington chick and a ex batt happily stood in the middle, that is the only time the orp chick has left its mother! (the mother was in the shed with the orp chicks brother)
I will think about it, if i did i would have to move everything and i think the hens wouldn't follow me to a new place, and some feeders are atached to a tree. and they have killed one of the hens to eat so i feel bad for feeding them now
you have quite a fan club in here for that hen and baby buff John...if there are any more , i hope that you can get them..take them home..at least your trying to make a nice life for them..doesnt sound like anybody else cares ...thats very selfish that those people let you feed those birds, then they reap the rewards with a plump chicken dinner..they sound like they would be better off with you..even with the ever present mudd...they seem bright eyed and happy to see you...
Liver flukes are a parasite that attack cattle and sheep, that are carried by snails that live in swampy areas. A big deal in England, and in some low lying ground in the US.
That almost got confusing, but I separated the syllables and figured out what you meant. Geez, ya know, I'm not going to be a breeder so I don't have use for breeder quality birds. I just need good egg layers. Even considering going with a bantam breed to better fit my small place.
I will show her in my name so you won't have to send in an entry. But will tell Doug, Paul and others you are the owner and conditioner. And most likely she won't be shown against any other Splashes, IF not I feel sorry for the person who brings one to try and beat her. She looks like a BV to me.
This Blue boy and his Black 1/2 brother will be good suiters for her to share her genetics.
Lee remember those gorgeous Akers Buff hens you gave me 3 years ago? This Black's granny is one of them. I think it would be cool to breed him back to your Splash for some Blues. Then you could get some of those Buffs genetics back into your flock.
Back to Back comparison. Not too sure but i think I used a Blue that the one granny Buff you gave me son to make this Blue line. He and the Black are 7 month oles with huge thick legs.

Lee I can trade ya some good laying pullets for this girl if you like. And I would be willing to incubate your girls eggs and get you back a couple of her daughters to enjoy as well.
thank you for your generousity
