My Buff Orp Daffodill

She's cute too Johnn. I just may go into the "Chicken Wellies" business for your gang!
Haha, we are on the road to sorting that problem, i can post a pic of my cockerel and he has no mud on his feed, he walks around the bog and the rest just run through the middle!!

I have at least 3 cockerels from Harold my Brown Red cock which are Brown Reds. Plus one Black cockerel from Harold which is all Black and no Red/Brown. They all seem to have this nice robust build with nice and wide feathers. And all seem to be what I am looking for in the future with my Blacks. So, each year I will keep the better Brown Red cockerel and still keep Harold, who is now in molt.
Anything coming from a Harold must be good!

Please see The Imported English Orp thread for more photos of my gang. For some reason they won't transfer here. What's going on??

Dunno. I am not having any trouble.

Some of the youngens here.
I have a total of 7 Buff pullets from my 2 best Buffs. And 4 of them pretty much look like this.

Some of the others growing out.

Just coming on 6 months old

My newly created line. Will cross her to the Pontious cockerels

This pullet is part from Harry's line and part BUSTOFF and part Marans. Mother was the Silver Duckwing. She is a DINOSAUR compared to any and all other pullets of her age.
Most definitely will have to find a place with her in my upcoming breeding season. Can take her to Whites, Blacks and Buffs. I think the unusual size comes from her BUSTOFF heritage. BUS was part Buff Orp from one of the better Buff lines in the Midwest.

Have a couple of Black hens I used this season to better my Black line's tails. So far I can say I am seeing a few with some promise.
