So adorable! Chicks too. . Mine were three weeks old Yesterday. These pics are from their first time outside. Took them today. We didn't stay out long it was a bit chilly.

Don't know what there crossed with but there short and stocky. Always have there head in the food bowls. Both of them unless there laying.

Ok, they could be EEs. A lot of different breed chicks have that pattern it seems.

Ah, yes. Hard to see leg color. I'm getting Buff Os for first time this April. Can't wait! Heard lots of good things about them. I could use a few good broodies!

Here's my prettiest 5 week old Silver Gray Dorking cross. Anyone want to guess who daddy could be? It's either my Cuckoo Marans rooster or the RIR/Black Star mix rooster. I have no idea!

Mine just turned a week old... all 12 are doing great. I find the barred rocks are more "personable".. they look at me and come "check out" my hand when I put it in there with them. The kids are holding all of them almost daily... and the reds are the most fussy about it. They just don't want to be handled. The Rocks don't love it but they don't raise such a fuss. We are definitely seeing personalities already. I love to just sit and watch them... my horse looks over the stall wall wanting some of that attention. (and she gets it when I'm done with the babies)
