We have been working on names for our new 10.

Blue Laced are Grace and Drumstick

Black laced reds are Cookie and Sweet

Black Australorp is Slicer (my DD named her LOL)

One of the black laced whites is Penguin (my other DD named her)

Americauna is Chubby

and we are still working on the others.

Already in the coop we have Red and Lucky (fox attack) who are RIR, Dash the brown leghorn, Sapphire the brown buff, the Oreo Triplets, and my 4 year old son named his little red sex-link Minecraft Block and since you don't argue with a 4 year old we call her Minecraft for short. Only some have names as we are sort of naming randomly.

Don't worry about it. My 6 1/2 week olds still do it. There are perches in the coop, they just choose to use them for naps during the day. At night they all gather up in their favorite corner. Silly birds!

I believe they do it more for comfort ,and not for warmth.
