Now that my Malines have hatched, I have 2 broodies! Only one hen left not broody - their mother! All production birds too. Don't worry Chad, yours weren't raised by a broody. I don't think they'll be apt to lean that way.

today our first hatch is 16 weeks an egg can appear any time now so just to make sure no seceret nests are around no one but momma hen and fluff buts are ranging until we get their eggs ( so far they hate it)

I think the black ones are a boy & girl. The yellow I think is a girl. Time will tell.

This is Sapphire, our brown buff orpington. She is my favorite as far as feathers go, right now. I do have some up and coming wyandottes though so can't wait to see how they fill in!

That is a beautiful Buff Orpington! We have 2 hens and 2 roosters, among other beautiful chickens

she's beautiful how old is she
