That's interesting as far as the sheen goes. I've not taken photos of them with a flash, only iPhone photos which are what I posted and that was without flash. As far as the chicks not looking like Isabelle I'm a bit confused about. The Isabelle's are the lavender diluted version of the brown leghorn and these chicks are lavender where the brown would be and yellow where the gold would be. The brown chick is split for Isabelle ...can you elaborate on why they don't look Isabelle to you (other than lack of sheen) thanks I'd appreciate it

Isabella kind of remind me of the Khaki Silver Duckwing Dutch Bantams, I would be so cool if this color shown on Leghorns

Whats a Khaki Silver Duckwing patter?
Khaki Silver Duckwing
Khaki is another name for Homozygous Dun I^D/I^D a single dose of one copy of Dun can produce Chocolate colored birds, single copy would be illustrated as I^D/i+ its mutation of Dominant white gene, so its not blue or lavender, now when you add homozygous Dun to a Silver Duckwing pattern you get Kahki Silver Duckwing pattern.. Homozygous Dun wont affect gold tone, so this bird look creamy because they are Silver

Check this chicks , the Lightest ones are Khaki, the intermediate one are Het Dun and the dark ones are i+/i+(none diluted and will mature to be silver duckwing dutch bantams)

I have six leghorns that are six weeks old. I was told they're leghorns, but then told they look Cornish. Thoughts???

those are CornishX, while one could confuse them with white Leghorns, this could only be for about 1 or 2 days, then the CornishX would be outeating and outweighing them so much than you could tell the difference, besides they have such thick shanks you can tell them appart, the Leghorns have thin shanks

What do black leghorn chicks look like?...I think I may possibly have them..the girl I got the chicks from does not know the breed, but says they are white egg layers I have pics of the chicks
