She's getting ready Out egg in there so she knew what it was for. I marked it though so I would know which was hers if she laid. And she went in, made her nest and has been in there for 15 minutes. now its a waiting game. Took my leghorn a few hours of sitting before laying their first egg. So exciting! and it's all happening in my dinning room!! The rooster and one of the silkies keep peeking in wondering what she is doing lol! I have it lifted for the picture but there if a flap giving her privacy.

We got an egg!!! It'[s a pretty color. hard to tell from pic but looks same as silkie eggs. Compared it to an egg form one of our 2 yr ol leghorns

Thanks! I wasn't expecting it just yet sO i was surprised! She was nestign around so I put an egg from the leghorn into the nesting box and she went right in. Took all the bedding out of course just like her mom...whatever I do isn't right LOL

Here you can tell the egg is actually pink, not white

Just got this girl on Sat. She is so sweet. Had to get her fresh water and she hoped on my shoulder and stayed there while iw alked up to house got her fresh water, tok a few pictures of her and went back down to coop. She is my new favorite I have her son. I hatched her eggs out in October. She used to belong to a friend of mine but her hens were ganging up on her. don;t mind the picture of me when shes on myu head, was tryign to keep her from falling lol.

But, now I have to ask, is Stuffing a Bread Stuffing, a Corn Bread Stuffing, or an Oyster Stuffing.
