Hah! I'd say the same for their Wyandottes, minus the extra feathers of course. . . I don't have white Wyandottes, but my Silver Laced are from McMurray, and they're. . . Well. . . Not what a Wyandotte should look like. Thin, erect tails, varying combs (often too much rose) horrible lacing, very very small bird overall with a skinny body type and for some reason very small eggs. They're growing a little as this is their first year laying, but they're still quite small. But then again, what hatchery Wyandotte isn't carrying some sort of bad trait?

Hmm... Well I do hate that they are a small bird, and the small eggs make it even worse, but for me I like my wyandottes to have a longer body with better tails. Yes, I know... not the standard, which is why I wish the Rhode Island White was still popular bc they have the same brick shape as the red.

Yeah some people do prefer the hatchery-type body of Wyandottes. I know my family does. When I show them "real" Wyandottes, they always say ours look "smarter" are are prettier. To me, ours look like a poor village's chickens with silver lacing.

I still like them though (even though only 2 out of 10 will voluntarily come up to me) They are the most adventurous, brave, hardy, and independent of our chickens! . . . Which makes them very selfish too.

They're only 8 months old, so no - Not yet atleast. But who knows, maybe they do - I have 3 acres of land for them to roam across, with HUGE slash and burn piles from our old forest waiting to be burned, and the Wyandottes like to lay their eggs in them occasionally (

) Soo. . . Maybe. Doubt it though, as I usually see all the colors everyday. (My wyandottes' names are colors, except for one, Chatta. . Because she's a loudmouth.

Illia, oh god... we've had that problem. Egg Hunt everyday! Good luck lol
kipepeo, these are BEAUTIFUL birds! Lots of fluff, but they don't look like a basketball, which I hate! Thank you so much!
