Big girls (2 weeks old), learning to sleep on their training perch.

I think that the one falling asleep standing up here is the one that's in the back in the picture above.

The Brahmas are two weeks older than the others and the little girls liked to use their big sisters as pillows/blankets but I never got a picture because my moving the camera would startle them.

I forget whose brooder page I copied the idea from.

I figure I can put it up on a couple bricks as they get bigger and they'll learn to sleep on a roost in a step-by-step way instead of me expecting them to get the idea all at once with the big roost.

This is a picture of my pullet when she was around 2-3 weeks old. She fell asleep while dust bathing ,while getting shavings all over their feeder. She grew up to be a beautiful pullet, though she is still known for falling asleep during dust bathing.
