Ah, that is a baby ringneck! I get about 50+ creeping into my basement all year long LOL. They are really friendly too! I catch them so me and the kid can play with them before putting them out in the woods.

We send the dog (He is snake trained) out with DD or DS, or we go with her . But we don't worry in the winter as these guys hibernate for several months of the year - October through March.

the only snakes i see round here are are black snakes and gardner
