Post your FIRST EGG pics!

We found our first two eggs today from the only pullet old enough to lay. I doubt she laid them both today, but I guess you never know. As best we know, Vanilla was hatched in early June, making her just about 5 months old. My girls were so excited when they found the eggs, they came running in to show us. Hope these are just the first of many.

I got eggs!!!! 2 of them. I went down to feed the chickens before I went to school, and I set the scooper down on the hutch and we have a box up there and I glanced at it and did a double take, there were two eggs in it, I'm so excited. I know it was my australorp. I wish I had been checking more. I hope she lays one today, but I won't know till I get home which is at 5, boo I don't want to wait that long. I will get pics up as well.

I've been watching for my first eggs from 2 Wyandottes that I raised from week 1. They are now 21 weeks old and I went away for the weekend and came back to find 2 small pale brown eggs right next to 2 white eggs from my Rock. Don't know if both are laying or just one but I am so exited!

Our first egg was HUGE! It came in the afternoon from one of our about 20 week old GSLs. It was one fully developed egg inside another- it deserved a few pics! The pic in the carton shows it alongside large store bought eggs.

Okay earlier I said we had two, I called my mom and she said they were making a bunch of noise, ans she found another egg. So we have 3, and I think they are all from my australorp because she is the only who squats, and has huge wattles. I think she is about 26 weeks old.
the dark spots are just were I cleaned them off.

Just got back from my cruise this afternoon and my gals had had a welcome home present for me....

My girls are 23 weeks today and 2 "somebodys" became women today lol
