We got 31 eggs the first 5 days from our new CQ hens purchased from the county fair in Sept 2013!

First Black Copper Marans egg between Easter Egger and Sex Link eggs. Yay!! Finally. Hopefully she darkens up but great either way! Good girl.

This is the EE who gives is the blue eggs. Sometimes with white speckles.

Araucana/EE. Very sweet. Her brothers name was Prince Charming, so we never actually named her. "Prince Charmings Sister" is literally what we call her. Lol

Our very first egg- thin shell/shell-less- watched it being laid, and picked it up warm! Ate it that night!

Here's my Easter Egger's first egg (far left), compared to her following eggs. Her eggs are green, blue/green... they change colors when wet, warm, not, they're weird- like that one on the far right looks real blue but now it's green-y in the fridge. Hmm.

Yeah, her comb has gotten quite impressive, hasn't it!? I have four RSL and they all have pretty impressive combs! They are fantastic layers and they're super friendly. Kind of pushy and overbearing sometimes but I love my girls! Olive there likes to jump on my hand when I hold it out for her
