Here's a little laugh for ya'll. So after I had to put down the entire flock, I had a rogue chicken. My smartest one, an EE, hid forever. She has finally come back around and we are letting her be for the time being.

We have three 11 week old Aussies at the house yet (who have taken over the chicken yard) and I guess today they were really riled up.

My DM sent me this earlier:


The poor girl sat on that lamp for a good 15 minutes before flying down, even after my DF threw scratch down for her.

She never showed signs of illness, so she could still be a carrier, but my DF feels that he can't cull her after our 23 bird culling. She is now truly our "Pet Chicken."

And I'm green with envy.... My EE stopped laying her green eggs almost a month ago, my 2nd EE lays a multi colored pink to brownish egg, EE #3 (blue egger) hasn't given us anything yet.

Poor girl still funny though. How'd she act when you put that thing on her hind in. Reminds me when I put tape on my cats tail and it span in circles.
