We are doing a bit better now. I haven't had an endorphin rush like that in a looooong long time. That helped bring me outta my winter 'funk', for sure .

Finally got an egg from one of my Easter Eggers! Not quite sure which one it is, but I have my suspicions.
She laid it on her 26 week birthday! Nothing like making me wait it out.
Still in my first year of chicken-keeping and loving it! I've been enjoying fresh eggs since the day after Thanksgiving, 2014.

Missed posting Sookie's first ever egg (larger darker egg) BUT this was the first she layed in the new laying coop...yes I said laying coop not box..Arlene layed her first every egg in the laying coop today as well...they both headed right to the laying coop and layed eggs right after being let out of the sleeping coop..I got to hear the "egg song" for the first time and did not have to search the entire yard
