1st egg laid Saturday, 2nd on Sunday and third when I got home today.

My first egg was a soft one that had been broken. My second egg, on the very same day, is PERFECT!!! Feel like a proud mom

One of my other hens started laying today! A very pretty pink colored egg. She also layed two on the same day? I figured it was because they were so large. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!

I think this is from Mercedes. She is a RIR sex link. I have 2 others (sisters) Sophia and Jade. Mercedes was squatting for me when I fed them this morning. Haven't cracked it open yet to see if there is yolk in there. But I'm awfully proud! These are my first ever chickens and my first ever home grown egg

Shamrockmommy wow that is a dark egg... I have a goldstar and I am so wondering what shade she will lay... I still have maybe a month more to find out. Congrats to you and Mercedes.
