im getting some oyster shells today. this is the girl that layed it:

She is pretty! But if one of mine even thinks that sort of egg is even remotely acceptable, I'ma have a fit! Lol. SShould I be putting out the oyster shells now, even though they haven't started laying yet?

i just did,mine are 4 month's old,i want good healthy chicken's and egg's so thats why i started the crushed calsium now,ive learned alot here in our flock,still learning every day,i would check the forum for their calsium guide,i'm going by different things i have read on here about calsium for them

I forgot to take a picture on the first day of laying for my Red/Gold SL Janet but here are her first two eggs with a store bought extra large Well done Janet!!!

We got our first egg yesterday! My 5 year old was SO excited to find it. I'm almost positive my black star named Star laid it (I checked everyone's vent).

You can also save up chciken egg shells in a jar and crush it up and offer it to them. They love it and the shells dry up and don't get moldy or anyhig weird
