So today, after getting our very first egg yesterday, I waited outside for a couple hours this morning (ate breakfast, laid in the hammock, real productive). Right on schedule Nugget went into the box and laid a second egg, no egg song, just saw her coming back out of the coop. Couple hours later Southern Fried, our SLW, left us this.

32 grams, tiny little thing, but perfectly formed, just like nuggets first two.

I'm a happy chicken owner today. OK happier. I'm already convinced my blood pressure is way down since getting chickens. Chicken tv is so calming. I now understand why people feed birds in the parks.

This week we got our first eggs. Sunny's is weighing in at "small" and Benedict's is peewee. Haha! I hope they get bigger. They are both 22 week barred rocks.

"Chicken tv"!!! BWAHHAHHA! So funny! Great you are finally getting eggs. MIne started laying about a month ago. Getting 4-7 eggs daily now.

It does!! I went out later to find a second!!!! So atleast 2 of my 9 have started. Hoping this morning brings me more!
