my very first egg found this morning! The flock is 16 weeks old, didn't think I'd get one this early but very exciting. The store bought egg is "jumbo", still a pretty good size for first egg.

We got our first ever egg today! Found it on the floor of their coop, so we have some training to do, and it had a crack in it but its so pretty! And quite heavy too.

That is AMAZING, How did you get "Him" to lay at all? Can you teach my roosters to do that? I might have to start keeping them.... I'm just kiddin! But she does look like a boy...

First eggs!! The big one was a double yolkier!! That was Wednesday...I haven't found any in the last 2 days

I was finding one egg under the roosts every day. Now I find two. It's spreading!!! Any ideas? I have 3 nest boxes (although one is the favorite, one hardly gets used, and the other has never been used). 9 girls, but only 7 or 8 are laying right now. Would really rather not have to brush off poop, etc. each time I collect eggs.
