We got our first blue egg today! The two at the topped were laid by our black australorp and our buff orpington. Not sure which is which. At the bottom we have the easter egger and the barred plymouth rock.

Having only two hens, I missed the eggs when they started to molt. Tilly was the first to molt and stopped laying in September. Hilary stopped in October. While it is not a "first" egg, Tilly surprised me with her first one in about three months on Christmas Eve.

Sorry. I was having a case of "first egg envy."

We got our first ever bantam egg day before yesterday!! It's a pretty little egg the 2 in the center are the bantam eggs got another one yesterday it was slightly lighter in color and smaller not sure if it's from the same chicken or not guess we will wait and see
